The Flowering of Christ — Resurrection 3

1. Good day to all, whether you are in America, Canada, Europe, or beyond, we come together as one. For the next couple of weeks, let's change our focus from the external collective to the individual personal issues some of you face. Today's question has to do with forgiveness, or does it?

2. 'Mother Mary, I have an issue I struggle with daily. Several years ago, I did and said some things that I shouldn't have to a family member. I never had a chance to explain and apologize. This person stopped talking to me and several other members of the family have ostracized me as well. Since then, I have forgiven myself, but I am filled with grief about how my actions led me to lose these relationships. More than anything, I want to have the chance to apologize to everyone, but I don't think I will ever get that chance. This is a great source of sadness for me, as I feel like my punishment has outlived the crime.'

3. Dear one, I am so sorry that your family members have not given themselves the opportunity to see the beautiful soul you have become. This is their loss. They don't think you deserve forgiveness, but forgiveness is a gift you give yourself when you release condemnation. Imagine the heaviness they carry because they won't allow themselves to love you.

4. You have told me that you have forgiven yourself, but have you done so wholly? You said that you are still filled with grief. What is in order here is acceptance. You don't have any control over this situation and yet you need to accept that you may never get an opportunity to apologize to them. These relationships may be permanently severed since you have been branded the evil other.

5. Letting go of this situation may get easier in time. You have taken responsibility and are living a life of love. Now, love your past self too. It is not outside of love. You were hurting and acted out. Who hasn't done that? Give yourself a big hug and teach others about forgiving themselves whenever you get the opportunity. Your lessons will speak volumes because they come from experience.
