August: Shifting into New Identity

1. Let us begin once again. When God masters an individual expression of one of life's many forms, it moves or shifts from a singular identity of just being that form to being aware that it is both the form and that which activates it. This is a precious process, my friends. It can't be rushed. It will need all the time that each individual process will require. No two are alike. Not only will this process require time, but it will also require conditions or a baking temperature. What humans process as everyday, ordinary stress, and what they know as extraordinary amounts of stress are all factored into the process. Let's take a look at the stages involved when God shifts into a new identity. There are 3 primary stages but there can be many baby steps along the way.

Stage Two — Exploration
Stage Three — Movement
3. Let's look at each stage of shifting into a new identity by making it personal and applying it to each of your lives, shall we? This group has already passed through all three main stages and is in a good position to reflect.
4. Stage One — Wonder
This stage typically begins 2-3 years before exploration, sometimes much longer. It is when you started to seriously question what you were seeing and experiencing in form. What was true and what wasn't true? Where did you find yourself? Was your life experience stable or was it crumbling? What was your emotional state of being like during this time frame? Some levels of turmoil with job loss, relationship change, and resulting anxiety and depression are very common at this stage. These things can happen throughout a lifetime, so just focus on the period directly proceeding to Stage Two.
5. Stage Two — Exploration
This stage may be easier to identify when it exactly occurred. When did you first start to actively pursue spiritual information? What was your first book in a chain of books? Which speaker did you listen to or watch on television or the computer? Which group did you join? These questions are appropriate for traditional paths. For those of you who were not on traditional Judeo-Christian-oriented paths, please reflect on what your exploration period was like. The time frame for Stage Two is very, very individualized and can take multiple decades.
6. Stage Three — Movement
No one stage is more important than another, but Stage Three is certainly the most difficult. This stage itself is not difficult, but the shift from exploration to movement certainly can be, and I will tell you why. This is because your old friend, the ego, may have tolerated the first two stages to humor you, but the movement away from complete dependence to only phone calls, while the form and character start to rely more on a new relationship with the soul, is just unacceptable to it. Many get immersed in exploration and don't know how to or are not willing to apply what they are discovering there. This is one of the main reasons why Jesus is offering Soul in the Driver's Seat: A Course in Miracles for the New Age. It will help to make the shift into movement easier. Once there, as this group can attest to, there are numerous support systems under the Journey and Arrival banners, as well as additional materials.
7. I hope you will find these exercises meaningful and helpful. Just remember, it wasn't you yourself who went through these stages into a new identity. It was God who discovered itself. It was God who became Christ or God in humankind. It was a process, wasn't it? All you had to do was move out of the way a little bit.
