| S9.4 | Seeking revenge against the evil other is part and parcel of how the ego sees things. It is impossible for anyone with a dominant ego to see the atrocities being committed any other way. This way of seeing the world is the ship that is sinking. There are small to medium-sized holes in it and frantic attempts to save it. Its future is certain, however. It must go so that something else can take its place. Its inhabitants must awaken and board a new ship. On this ship, one side doing harm and then the other side seeking revenge for that harm are not on the table. They are unthinkable on this ship where there are already passengers who have awakened and are watching what is happening on the old ship, the old way of being. |
